A new body of work by artist Elise Okrend will fill The Spotlight Gallery at Wedge Studios from Monday, December 1, through Wednesday, December 31. Her pastel exhibition, Sanctuary, draws inspiration from the healing qualities of nature and the peaceful moments found in quiet places.

A native of New York City, Elise Okrend earned a BA in Fine Art and enjoyed a successful career in design and print production before she and her husband, Phil, founded MixedBlessing, Inc., a greeting card company. Designing cards led her back to her first love: painting pastel landscapes.
